Progressive Design-Build to the RESCU
Silicon Valley Clean Water’s Regional Environmental Sewer Conveyance Upgrade Program (RESCU) consists of eleven ‘essential infrastructure’ projects to replace and rehabilitate SVCW’s conveyance system. It includes the Gravity Pipeline (GP Project), Front of Plant (FoP), Pump Station Improvements and Belmont Force Main (PSIP) projects. For delivery of these RESCU program projects, SVCW opted for use of Progressive Design-Build (PDB) – a construction industry method for large and complex capital projects that has gained significant traction over the past few years.
Tanner Pacific, Inc., Collaborative Strategies Consulting, and DNS Strategic Partners, LLC have provided project and construction management services for the GP Project tunnel, PSIP project(s), and FoP project, respectively. They will share their project experiences, innovations, and technical insight as they continue work on these major utility improvements.
