SFBS Board Update
Please welcome our new 2nd Year Director on the Board, Mike Walkowiak of Brown & Caldwell. Mike has been very involved with the Section over many years, primarily through the Professional Development Committee. Arvind Akela, Silicone Valley Clean Water, and Kathryn Gies, West Yost Associates, should also be thanked for their completion of five year stints on the Board, a significant accomplishment! It’s been great working with them.
Student and Young Professionals (SYP) Committee – Annual Evening with Industry and Career Fair
The job market seems to be outstanding for students and young professionals. Employers seem to be faced with a high level of completion for qualified staff. Our annual career fair provides a great opportunity for targeting students and local employers focused on the wastewater industry. Please mark your calendar for February 22nd. CWEA’s Annual Conference 2018 (AC18)
It’s never too early to register for CWEA’s annual conference. The event will be in Sacramento on April 17th to 20th. The conference includes a wide range of events including technical workshops and seminars with vendor booths and demonstrations. Details are available on CWEA’s website.
