Greetings CWEA-SFBS Members!
Hoping everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season. Congratulations to this year’s winners from the 70th Annual Awards Banquet. Good luck at the State-wide competition in Reno AC-2020!
We have a lot of great things planned so far, with much more to come. This month for example, we’ll be presenting a Collections TCP and our SYP Career Fair. Please check our SFBS website for all the latest details.
Also, there are some important changes this year in the Technical Certification Program (TCP)…
· New Collections exams launch July 1st, 2020.
· New Minimum Qualifications for Collections Systems Certification (for exams on or after July 1st, 2020):

I’d also like to give a warm welcome to our newest SFBS Board member, Tyree Jackson, who works for the City of Oakland and is the current Chair of the SFBS Collections Systems Committee. Tyree and I have worked together for many years on the SFBS Collection Systems Committee, and we’re looking forward to working with him on the SFBS Board. Welcome Tyree!
On personal note, I’d like to thank everyone at the CWEA and specifically the Bay Section not only for honoring me with an election to the Board, but for everything that this organization has done for me in this chapter of my life, I owe a lot to the CWEA. I plan to do my level best to pay back in some measure what has been given to me, and pay forward what I can to help those who will follow.
