Wastewater Industry Overview and Insights from an Early-Career Professional: Interested in working at a wastewater treatment plant as an engineer? Be ready to wear many hats (including a hard hat!). This presentation will broadly describe typical entry-level engineering jobs at a municipal wastewater treatment plant and show highlights from interesting projects.

Presenter – Michael Cunningham: Michael has worked as an Assistant Engineer at the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District in Martinez, CA for nearly 5 years. He has experience with pilot studies, process optimization evaluations, asset management, and capital project planning and pre-design. He has a Bachelors in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Davis and has a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from ETH Zurich.
