OVERVIEW:
Rodeo Sanitary District has been the recipient of the CWEA San Francisco Bay Section’s Small Plant of the
Year for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018.

District staff have been honored with the 2017
CWEA Operator of the Year, 2017 CWEA Collections Worker of the Year, and 2018 SFBS Supervisor of the
Year.

Rodeo Sanitary District Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) – Class II Plant
Population Served:
8,700 People
Current ADDWF:
0.5 MGD
Dry Weather Capacity:
1.14 MGD
Peak Wet Weather Capacity:
3.4 MGD

Service Area: Rodeo, Tormey, and unincorporated areas of Contra Costa County
Treatment Level: Secondary treatment of domestic and commercial wastewater
Treatment Processes: Aerated grit removal, primary clarification, activated sludge secondary treatment, and chlorine disinfection

DIRECTIONS:
From I-80 North or South: Exit Cummings Skyway. Turn left on San Pablo Ave. Pull in at parking lot to your right after Refinery Road (right after the traffic signal light). Walk across the railroad tracks.
