Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactors (MABR)
The MABR is a promising BNR process intensification technology to increase capacity of existing facilities with no new concrete infrastructure and reduce aeration energy. Black & Veatch’s Innovation Platform has recently completed a two-year evaluation of MABR technology in collaboration with the City of Hayward and Suez. Results from the research and implications for Bay Area Utilities will be presented.
Dr. Bridget Tse is a process engineer at Black & Veatch with 7 years of experience in wastewater treatment research and consulting.
Dr. Sandeep Sathyamoorthy is Black & Veatch’s Principal Process and Innovation Leader with more than 20 years of industry Practice and research experience.
