Engaging O&M Staff in Asset Management
Despite investing trillions of dollars in capital improvements over the past decades, our water and wastewater infrastructure is severely stressed from overuse, under-funding, and aging. Therefore, many utilities are striving to apply reliability centered asset management principles to overcome this challenge. This presentation will describe how engaging O&M staff during planning and implementation is key to success of asset management programs.
Gerald Fejarang, PE
Gerald is passionate about educating our industry on reliabilitydriven asset management and the importance engaging O&M staff. Gerald is now sharing experience from other industries with water and wastewater utilities nationally. Gerald started in 1994 as a process mechanical engineer for Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District and continued with several consultancies. He also served as assistant general manager for an O&M contractor and most recently was the director of PinnacleART’s water reliability group.
